Where the hell did you get "Beavers". It is and always has been The Licking Valley Panthers.
I have a bad feeling for next year. Our fans don't travel at all, hell not even to home games. We have to go to Licking Valley next year. I'll be surprised if we have 15 people there on our side.
That back they have over at LV, Storm Klein. Started at TB as a freshman this year, had about 1000 yards and was named Division 3 All-State Special Mention. He'll be a sophmore next year, I've seen the kid in person, out of his pads and he looked like a senior...Because he was so big.
But it should be a great game like it was this year.

I think my head coach said it best this year after we got beat by LV.
"Boys, plain and simple, we got beat by farm boys tonight."
I found this on the Canfield website. Its their highlight film for the playoffs. Of course its biased towards Canfield since its their site. But it really shows how we got pushed around, again by farm boys. #99 would be our big lineman changed to FB. We had no time to pass...at all.

I doubt he meant it as a compliment.
Not too many kids that currently go to LV actually live on farms anymore. That school attracts alot of families from newark. As does NC, Lakewood, and even Granville to some extent.
Alot of kids I grew up with, playing LL baseball, YMCA football etc, went to surrounding HS. Newark High would have been even better at all male sports during my years there, had those kids stayed in the district.
