#2 Texas and #3 Penn State...our schedule looks sick, I was hoping for a USC loss so we'd get them in a bowl and penn state texas out only losses would be in the national champiobship. These top 6 teams are capable of beating each other on neutral fields any staurday.. i know its not going to happen for a while but i would love a playoff

When will new BCS poll actually be released today? The computer polls must be released early in the day today.

Is the Top 4 BCS rule iron clad for us here?

I haven't heard any official source (ESPiN etc. ) site this rule as possibly coming into play.

Because we'll also be at least number four in most of the computers. The combination of human and computer rankings can't allow any other team to get ahead of us in Sunday's BCS rankings.

And at #4, since #3 gets their BCS bid as a conference champion (Penn St.), BCS rules state that the #4 team automatically gets one of the 2 at-large bids.

Must feel like Groundhog Day for ya BB73, but I assume it's much more fun to repeat it over and over now with what's transpired...

I can't believe it but Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso don't want it. Chris Fowler is amazed at how those guys don't want a playoff. The only fair way to see who's better is to have them play eachother in a playoff.

There's quite a few of us out here who don't want a playoff. I won't go into my reasoning since it's been done over and over the last two years on this board. However, I just say "NO" to playoffs...

I figure if I state the rule often enough it might actually be understood.

The sad thing is I'm pretty sure that the rule will be revised for next season, so I'll get to explain the new rule next year.

Last night during the ACC championship game halftime show. Craig James said that tOSU and ND should be rooting hard for FSU because of the possibility of moving up to get automatic bid.

He said something to the effect that since LSU and VT both lost if OSU moves to #4 in the BCS they get and automatic bid. The same thing applies for ND is they move to #6 in the BCS they will get and automatic at large bid. I have no idea why, but I assume its one of those rules that got tweaked because someone got screwed in the past.

Would you feel the same way if there were 3 undefeated teams with one of them being us and we got left out because we didn't start the season in the top 2?
