Tom Osborne (Nebraska AD)

That's probably the best thing that could happen to nebraska at this point.....

It's the worst thing they can do.

They need to move on and quit yearning for the days gone by.

It's equivalent the Alabama obsession with Bear Bryant.

Maybe they can bring back Mike Rozier and Tommie Frazier too.

True they do need to move on, but I seriously doubt Osborne is going to appoint himself the head coach.

I'm pretty sure they won't go back to the Power-I, but I am pretty sure they'll end up hiring someone who isn't going to run the West coast or something else that won't fit in with either the atmosphere or the athletes they have there.

Osborne is the only person associated with the place that can get control of the situation and go from there. Let's judge them on that move instead of this rumored one. If they go out and hire Norv Turner or Wannstedt, that will be the end of Nebraska, but if they hire someone like Bo Pelini or Paul Johnson (the two names I've read rumored so far), that's another.

I commented that Callahan would be gone about a month ago in the D.J. Woods thread. DaytonBuck and Billmac91 had him staying. With his A.D. buddy being gone, I think it would take a miracle for him to be there next year.
