2027 TN RB David Gabriel Georges (Verbal Offer)

Debatable that it would be a “crushing blow.” Ohio State will chug along and be great every year with or without DGG.

That said… do want. Badly.
Agreed. It would suck, but the alternative would be to just pay the high price in the portal and get Judkins-like players until they hit on another true elite HS player.

No real clear favorite to land David Gabriel Georges...or is there?

Recently, nine Insiders on Rivals gave their predictions on where Gabriel Georges will ultimately land (subscription required), and it doesn't appear we have a clear favorite in their eyes, which has been the story for some time.

Buckeye fans should feel good that the crystal ball is pointing to Ohio State to bring him in. It's clear his high NIL price tag is a concern, but he may be worth the price.

Gabriel Georges is the recruit whom the coaching staff has spent the most time on. It's clear that Ryan Day and his staff think he is a generational talent at the running back position. If that's the case, then whatever it takes to land him will be well worth it for the offense.

While the Ohio State Buckeyes aren't offering him as much NIL money as Tennessee is, they still feel confident they can land him.

But remember, we're the bad guys for offering a bunch of NIL money. Not as much as others, but we're evil.
That narrative is literally hilarious! OSU is the villain who pays for their roster, but yet Tennessee is known by everyone following his recruitment(and every recruiting battle between OSU and Tenn) to be grossly overpaying for his services

I’m cautiously optimistic. The uncle’s comments mean little to me. Would he really come out and ruin this kid’s moment? The comments were quite pro Tennessee but… yeah I don’t think he’d do that.

But yea, crootin. Pointless to even speculate. As it stands no CBs have moved off the Buckeyes, right? That’s all you need to know.

Liked the above when said that Buckeye fans are wired to think negatively. Speaking for myself, tend to remember the losses more than the victories (in life as well as recruiting. Actually, truth be told, have learned more from my failures than my victories. Anyway, with tOSU, it seems that the recruiting victories are expected, and the losses (at the time) seem calamitous. Although we all know that somehow, someway, the Buckeyes rebound and come out better. Seem to recollect that when a commit decommits, inevitably tOSU lands a commit that is ranked higher. And so the mandala turns. go Bucks
