With that said, family getting perks like adidas contacts etc is typically kids we stay away from. We normally don’t do the involved uncle type of recruits.

So either way to me I could seriously care less. I really don’t think paying millions for a RB is smart at all. You could get a top OL recruit and a very good transfer RB that’s ready to play day 1 for that.

Only frustrating thing is Coach Lock seems to have gone the route of Alford and put all his eggs in one basket.

Eh, not trying to do this again with him. This trend will level set in college just like it did in the NFL. Dime a dozen; edge rushers, OT and the quarterbacks will be getting those massive deals and running backs will level off big time.

Tennessee will just be the idiots that took the bait first. This isn’t about who had more money; it’s about who was smart.

Staying away from the uncles who get their own Adidas deals (wut?) was done because their greediness was something that could get the program in trouble. WAS. It's not like that anymore.

It's selfish as hell by the family member. It's gross. But the odds that part backfires on Tennessee is low. Especially now that Michigan has shown the world what to do if you ever get caught doing anything wrong.....which again, this isn't "wrong" anymore.

Wow...because the NCAA is incompetent, the "It's selfish as hell" and "It's gross" are now okay to have around a solid program that we have? This is a good influence on the type of kids that the coaches want to build our brotherhood culture?

Hopefully all the hand-wringing is all over and done, so tOSU juggernaut can continue on, focusing on the next best thing. Good luck to DGG, and sincerely hopes UT makes the playoffs, and comes up against the Buckeyes. Believe he made the best choice for him, although a bit misguided by our standards. Each choice has consequences. And the Buckeye RB room will thrive. Go Bucks, every day and always.

Would’ve loved to have had him. It’s for sure a bummer but no running back is worth this sort of deal out of HS.

This kind of money would be better spent in the portal on a position such as QB, OT or DE.

All the family stuff that comes with DGG is just icing on the cake. Who does that btw? It’s so common but it’s so gross.

Anyone who thought this would go different knowing the other school was UT really doesn’t learn from history lol.

Games are won up front and if a RB doesn’t have an OL then forget it anyway
