Jared Curtis said he was planning to commit in early February but he will push that back to give himself time to meet BoB and build that relationship. He will be at Ohio State in March for a Spring practice. Said he’s happy that Corey Dennis is still a part of the program.
I doubt OSU pulls him, or he even gives OSU a look. With Sayin, and then TSC, I highly doubt Curtis gives OSU a lookMaybe he Needs Increased Love.
Wasn’t suggesting that, just implying that he re-opened his recruiting to get a serious NIL deal from somebody.I doubt OSU pulls him, or he even gives OSU a look. With Sayin, and then TSC, I highly doubt Curtis gives OSU a look
Funny you said that:Wasn’t suggesting that, just implying that he re-opened his recruiting to get a serious NIL deal from somebody.
Birm:
UGA folks I talk to expect that Jared will still end up signing there and that this decommitment is sort of a "grow my brand and increase my value" type of play.
I don't think you can worry about a player's feelings when as a coach your job is always on the line. But even if Curtis were to pick up the phone for Day, I doubt the convo gets far because of Sayin and TSC. This Oregon love is all to up UGA's NIL deal, that's what I posted from Birm's reporting on Friday. I'm doubting that a kid from deep in SEC country goes out to OR, even with the Nike money. And GA also has Home Depot as another F500 company in their backyard helping with NIL as wellWell, suggest that Georgia tap into their Coca-Cola and/or Tobacco moola, in order to compete with Oregon's Nike money. From the way Oregon is recruiting, might even put tOSU's "$20 million team" to shame. But that's the way of NIL. And it seems to have worked, as Oregon is sitting atop the college team rankings. Stay tuned. But for tOSU to even talk to this guy, to me at least, shows disrespect to Sayin and TSC. One or the other, and maybe Air, will be the QB of the future. Just how future is yet to be determined. Suggest we save our schekels for some LTs.
