he probably called plays until Warriner was put up in the box...So there's no truth to the thought Beck didn't call the plays or....maybe his voice was a distant third?
He also tweeted something about Cardale and JT giving Beck "two thumbs up" because from the way I read Cardales tweets, it doesn't seem like he is much of a Beck fan.
Not so fast my friend.Let's see what the offense does the year after he leaves.
If it improves then I think we can go ahead and just put this one to bed.
Somebody coming in and doing such a better job than Beck that he gets to have the most free reign.......isn't evidence of Beck sucking? Not so fast my friend.
Let's say we get to 10 coaches and everyone remains with Wilson added and he calls the plays. Then what say you? I think Urb would trust Wilson fully and hand over control which is not what happened in '15 and '16. I think Urban gives Wilson more control than any OC he has ever had. If that happens you can't say Beck leaving was sole reason for improvement.
No. Beck sucks regardless. We'll sort of. He's apparently a great recruiter. He doesn't seem to develop QBs well or know how to devise offensive schemes or plays either. But it seems he wasn't calling the plays anyway. Him leaving doesn't mean he was the primary reason for the offensive woes however. It seems he was the 3rd voice in offensive play calling.Somebody coming in and doing such a better job than Beck that he gets to have the most free reign.......isn't evidence of Beck sucking?

Not really against the hire but my first reaction wasn't positive.
Mental images of Nebraska QBs throwing the ball, lack of any kind of in game adjustments and inconsistent offense come rushing to mind.
Mainly picturing that last Nebraska QB throwing. It was brutal.
In Urban I trust, just answering your question.
Under Bo and Tim's tenure, Nebraska QBs consistently regressed as the season went on, and showed little development in passing or decision-making from year to year. We'll see soon enough if that was simply a talent issue with Nebraska quarterbacks or whether there were other underlying problems
