Herman was heavily criticized early last year.......
I think Beck is just trying to fit in right now.
I do think the offensive struggles is a combination of play-calling and youth at WR. And some offensive line struggles, also.
The offensive line struggles is a puzzle, though. Who would have thought that would be an "issue"? Farris has been solid at RT.

Playcalling is an issue and wouldnt mind beck taking a hc position at some fcs or dii location, but when you have Zeke and JT and theres nowhere to run and no time to throw ... good teams will shut you down and your d will eventually falter.

We wouldn't really know about the no time to throw becaus there were barely any passes thrown beyond 5 yards. This was a complete offensive failure and play calling was a MAJOR reason.

Seems like a real nice guy but couldn't coach three Heisman candidates and five supposed first rounders to 100 yards of offense.

Every time he dropped back he got hit, so yes... we would. The OLine got dominated in all phases of the game. Even special teams, allowing MSU to repeatedly pressure Johnston.
