Dante Lavelli and Les Horvath

Correct. How amazing is that?

3 guys rooming together in the 1941 season. After they win the National Championship in 1942, Horvath wins the 1944 Heisman, Lavelli makes the NFL Hall-of-Fame, and McCafferty wins the Super Bowl as a Head Coach.

Next question coming right up.

Tom James

Correct. He played a year with Detroit, 8 with the Browns, and 1 with the Colts.

His brother Don James was a QB at Miami, Fla and became the winningest coach in Washington's history. In 1991, he won a split NC for Washington (who was #1 in the Coaches poll), while his alma mater Miami was #1 in the AP poll.

Really good trivia questions today.

How the hell does anyone remember who roomed with who in 1942?

However, I do know who roomed with Rex Kern his freshman and sophomore years on the 9th floor in Smith Hall. I roomed two doors down the hall from them.

Name two players from tOSU's 1942 National Championship football team that were All-Americans in football during their career at tOSU, and each had a younger brother become an All-American in football at tOSU.

Lindell Houston
John Dugger

Correct. Lin Houston was an All-American in 1942, and his younger brother Jim was an All-American in the late 50's.

John Dugger was on the 1942 team, made All-American in 1944, and his brother made All-American 10 years later.
