What knocked me out at DePaul in Chicago was not the gin and juice or the pot, but the bassist for Poi Dog Pondering hitting a brown note and holding it for two minutes. It was not melodic. It was not a note to any song. It was done specifically to cause pain and disorient the audience. It worked.

+1 for the Poi Dog Pondering drop. Don't think I've heard them mentioned since the late 80's (and then in the same sentence as the Pogues in a demeaning fashion).

Been busy in my basement lab lately. It is a drinking lab fortunately.

You can't see it from this side, but I put in a bottle opener modification to her butt hole. She is nearly complete.

Poi Dog has not been the same band for a long time. 2000 or so? Never been a fan, but being in Chicago and being close to the music scene when I was younger, I've seen them a number of times.

Funny Pogues story: I was in theater 100 or whateverthefuck it was my frosh year at tOSU. During the first day of class the prof / instructor / actress / whatever was on stage introducing herself. I was in the balcony somewhere.

She goes on to say that we likely don't know her but some of us may know who her nephew is... Shane Macgowan. I couldn't help myself. I yelled, 'tell him to see a dentist.' She looked up and said, 'you obviously know my nephew...'

Apparently he's gotten some new choppers. Good for him.
