One of the marshalls there told me that the long time greenkeeper at Quail Hollow left sometime earlier in the year. That probably is a contributing factor...

Ugly day and an ugly finish by Phil, Rory, Westwood, and Moore. Phil missed very marketable putts on 15 and 16 that would have won it for him.

Nice story with Ernst on his way to a Web.com tournament and getting the call as an alternate. Nothing like winning your first tournament in a playoff.

They are also tearing the greens up soon as this tourney if over to re sod them for the 2017 PGA championship. I doubt they were going to spend any substantial amount of money to make them perfect knowing they are coming right up.
