Things you hate about Cleveland

By far I would say most of their fans. The ones who never attended a game when the Indians sucked but as soon as it became the hip thing to do everyone was an Indians fan.
I can't blame their fans; the Indians were awful from 1954-1995 -- that's a span of 41 years! Why would anyone choose to sit in an awful stadium like Cleveland Municipal to watch a really bad baseball team?

I understand but everyone you meet said that they used to go to the games at Muni Stadium. If as many people claim they went to Indians game at the old stadium, then there should ahve been about 40,000 a game.

Well put. While I'm annoyed by Browns fans, at least they're loyal regardless of how good their team is. Tribe fans are absolutely awful. Like you noted, every one of them claims they loved going to games in the old stadium, but that place was as quite as a cemetary for years. Oh, and they also gave John Rocker a standing ovation in his debut with the team.

Because if you are a fan you g to games and watch the games. I have faithfully followed the bengals from the day I was born. My dad has had season tickets since the Bengals existed. Have the last 15 years been a pain in the ass? Yes. But not once did I ever think about rooting for a different team.

Most cleveland fans as loud mouth who think they know allot more about sports than the really do. Sit around a large group of Browns fans and listen to them for more than 5 mins and you will see how uneducated they really are.

A guy tried to tell me this past weekend that he hated the Bengals because Paul Brown abandoned the Browns. I made the comment that he was fired and the guy told me that shouldn't matter that Brown should have accepted beign fired because he wasn't good enough and gone home and dealt with it and silently supported the Browns fanchise, and he sold out the team by creating the Bengals.

Thqat is why i hate Cleveland sports fans.

I think the difference was that when they sucked people might go to one or two games a year... when they got better in the 90's people wanted to go every weekend. We used to go to about 15-20 a year (best guess).

I was at a few Browns and Indians games at the old stadium, but it was probably less than 10 games total. I was also at the final Cavs game at Richfield, but that was the first Cavs game I ever went to.

Best memory of the old stadium is when I was at the Indians game when the ball bounced of Canceco's head and went over the fence for a HR.

What I hate about Cleveland...where do I begin...

1. Sports fans.
2. Traffic.
3. The smell along I-77 as you approach the downtown area.
4. Cleveland State
5. The director of the career services office at Cleveland State
6. The attitude of most Clevelanders that the rest of the state of Ohio doesn't matter.
7. It's a liberal mecca.
8. She wasn't re-elected, but Mayor Jane Campbell
9. The tv news stations are horrible
10. The fact that Cleveland was a great city pre-WWII, but is a horrible trash heap now, but the people in Cleveland still think it is 1928.
11. The largest AM station took Glenn Beck off the air and replaced him with Jerry Springer in order to "bring balance".
12. Highest county sales tax in Ohio.
13. Car insurance rates are ridiculous.
14. 2004 poorest large city in the United States (Detroit took over this spot this year, I assume New Orleans will be #1 next year)
15. You would think people who live in the snow belt would be able to drive during the winter....no such luck.

The only good thing about Cleveland....I no longer work there and I no longer live in the suburbs.

I used to go to about 20-25 Indians games a year, and always tried to hit one Browns game. I don't think I ever saw more than 5000 people at an Indians game at Municipal Stadium (at an Indians game). I was actually at the last game ever played there, when the "Dawg Pound" ripped out the bleachers and threw them onto the field. That was quite entertaining.

All you need to know about Indians fans was illustrated this year, they went from sell-outs when they were good to one of the lowest attendance marks in the league this year. They had a playoff contender and barely drew 20,000 a game.

Front-running homos!

I like living close enough to Cleveland that I can go up to games, or other activities that you only have in big cities, but I wouldn't want to work anywhere close to downtown. I hate driving downtown. If I got a job up there I would only work someplace close to 271. My buddy worked for Sherwin Williams (tower city) for a month before he couldn't take working downtown anymore.
