Things you hate about Cleveland

I hate that Cleveland Sports fans are the most tortured sports fans in the country. And because of that many sports fans here have become bitter and forgot what being a true sports fan is.

I am getting sick of how everyone is, thinking the Browns should be in the playoffs because they started 2-2 but don't realize how badly they suck. Or the fact that people were still complaining about the Indians during their hot stretch and the attendance was still around 20,000 which was just pathetic.

I hate that the Cavaliers play at the Gund Arena... oh wait Quicken Loans Arena.... oh wait it is called The "Q". They should be playing games at Richfield Coliseum which was a great venue to watch a basketball game.

Because if you are a fan you g to games and watch the games. I have faithfully followed the bengals from the day I was born. My dad has had season tickets since the Bengals existed. Have the last 15 years been a pain in the ass? Yes. But not once did I ever think about rooting for a different team.
That is apples and oranges. Prior to 1994, at least the Bengals had had good teams in the lifetimes of anyone over 30, even going to the SuperBowl. The Indians, on the other hand, didn't come within 10 games of 1st place in their own division for 33 years!

It's hard to become a fan of a team that has stunk not only throughout your entire life, but the majority of your parents' lives too. When the Indians opened Jacobs Field in 1994, the only highlight for any Indians fan under the age of 40 that had occured in their lifetime was Major League, a comedy about how awful their team was.

I think the Tribe fans will start to come back this year, but it is going to hurt them that the Browns are back and the Cavs are better. Back in the mid 90's the Tribe was the only team worth seeing in town so more people were willing to buy season tickets. Now people probably spread their money around to all 3 teams. Even with how bad the Browns have been since they have been back they have sold out every game. No one in their right mind thought that they would be any good this year. I do believe that all 3 teams are looking up in the near future. The Cavs and Tribe should be ready to get in the playoff and challenge for for titles. The Browns are still a year or 2 away, but they look to be on the right track. A few years ago the Bungles were the joke of the NFL and all it took them was a coach who has a clue what he's doing.

In addition to more competition the economy in Cleveland is not exactly on fire. Less money for people to spend on the extra things, like sporting events.

as long as Spring Training tickets stay cheap I'll be fine :) Although the 2 hour drive to Winter Haven is a pain in the ass... it's nice when the play the Reds in Sarasota.... 10 minutes from my house.

The traffic, but that's the same for any big city.

I don't like the Browns, but how can you get mad at their fans when
they've never been to a SB. Of course, they've won the same amout
of SB's as the Bungles.

I hate that I have to drive downtown to see the Cavs when the Richfield
Coliseum was much closer and perfectly fine when they moved. Who in the heck builds their stadium so far from downtown anyways?

It's expensive.

For all it's drawbacks, it's still better than Pittsburgh and Cincitucky.
