makes OU fans sick

I find it pretty funny that #1 that would be the perfect thing for them to use as a symbol for their school and athletic programs but #2 it is now and forever associated with The Ohio State University and there is nothing they can do about it

LMAO.

MAC fans are funny. Their entire attitude can basically be summed up as, "[censored] the Yankees, I root for the Dayton Dragons!" Nevermind that Ohio State and the MAC exist on two entirely different planes.

BTW, notice in that quote that the M*ch*g*n Man's progeny ended up a C-student at a MAC school. Good job parenting, dude.

I also liked this part in reference to an EMU prof talking up M*ch*g*n:

Most of these profs to be honest are not exactly sharp birds. They're able to teach and convey their subject matter but are not exactly social stewards for a university.

 Way to defend Ol' Alma Mater, douchebag. "Most of my school's profs are dumbasses..."

Michigan Man was probably so arrogant that he never felt the need to push his kid to work hard...just felt that his superior genes would be all that mattered.

The MAC are the wingmen of the midwest because someone has to shag the ugly broad.

I think it's funny that you troll the Fredo boards for this kind of stuff, ORD.

:p

Actually came up in a google news search for "Ohio State University." Sorry to burst your bubble.:(

But yes, I did--for entertainment purposes--check out the MAC boards for any tortured, angst-ridden threads in response. Hey, who doesn't like to slow down and gawk at a good train wreck?

The hate in some of those posts is astounding.

I grew up going to games at the Glass Bowl and watching bball at Centennial Hall as both my parents went to UT and had season tickets. Great memories and I still pull for the Rockets in all things MAC, but my grandpa went to Ohio State and there was no doubt in my mind where I wanted to go to school and where my allegiance was.

I guess I can't really relate to the envy or 'little bro syndrome' or whatever the haters suffer from. Good thing, I guess.

I come from a BGSU Family. Grandparents on my dad's side met at BGSU. My mom and dad met at BGSU. My dad's siblings went to BGSU. My siblings all went to BGSU. Many cousins went to BGSU. I was the first one in my family to go to a school other than BGSU, and that school was The Ohio State University.

Kind of funny that, growing up in a BGSU family, I went to at least 2 Ohio State football games every year. One of those games was a "family reunion" of sorts as we would all gather in the dental school parking lot (which I think is non existant now) because it was free parking and had a great area to set up the huge spread we had for the 30 - 40 family members.

During this whole time I remember going to exactly 3 BGSU football games, and 2 of those were when I visited my older sis on "little sibs weekend" at BGSU.

I asked my dad about this phenomenon a few years ago as to why we did the family thing at OSU games rather than at BGSU. His reply to me: "Because OSU plays real football, that's why."

Many outsiders don?t understand the reasoning around the entire state of Ohio being Buckeye fans. Depending on an Ohioans geographical location, they are limited to their own professional sports team. Our state capital doesn?t even have an NBA, MLB, or NFL team, which draws us to support the Buckeyes. For Cursed Cleveland natives, the Buckeyes have always been a solid team to cheer for, no matter how their season ends. The Buckeyes can?t trade our favorite player, the Buckeyes can?t lose a player to free agency, and the Buckeyes can?t be sold and ripped from the state of Ohio (cough, Art Modell, cough). There is something special about OSU fans coming together; the tradition of the Scarlet and Gray, the first kickoff of the season, and the dotting of the ?I? in ?Script Ohio.? The players on the field and on the court have chosen The Ohio State University as their home for the next four years, and have dedicated themselves to the game.

All I can say is this guy gets it. This paragraph is pretty much a paraphrase of one of my first posts in the "introduce yourself" thread.
