Played a couple of hours again last night. The first hour I had a lot of trouble connecting to a server and when I did it crashed 3 separate times on me. Then my luck changed for about 2 hours and didn't have a single issue. When this game is stable it's a hell of a lot of fun (watching a skyscraper come crashing down a block from where you're standing is an awesome sight), but when there are issues it's a tremendously frustrating experience.

The other issue with converting HDMI to component is that it needs to support HDCP or it won't work (Well, I should clarify, I know this to be true of the PS4, not sure about the X1).

HD Fury had/has one, but they've ran into a bunch of resistance because it's seen as a workaround for the DRM built into HDMI output technology.

They're generally expensive, not 100% reliable, and often not supported. Unfortunately, you're better off getting a TV with HDMI than spending $130+ on an adapter.

Black Tusk cancelled project was called “Shangheist.” May have involved stealing stuff from the Chinese (though I think that may have been a reference to the name and maybe not the gameplay? Not sure…)

Halo 2 Anniversary includes beta for Halo 5
Gears of War will probably need a 2.5 year dev time.
First Titanfall DLC is 45 days from release, then another one 120 days from release.
No Crackdown 3 news this year most likely, since it’s a 2016 title.
A list w/dates of the rest of the Tier 2 and Tier 3 countries that Xbone will release in this year.
No info/idea on what Rare’s up to, sadly.
$399 XB1 this year? “Maybe one without an Optical Disc Drive.”
Finally, Verge notes alongside the leak that the first major Xbox One system update will be released in March, and we have verified with a trusted source that March is indeed currently Microsoft’s target. The update will address a number of pain points, including Kinect voice control issues.
