rumored from someone on NeoGaf

Halo 1,2,3,4 Campaigns with Online Co-op.
Halo 2 Classic Multiplayer and a collection of maps from 1,2,3,4.
Halo 5 Beta

Totally awesome! But, with one critical qualifier. As long as the anniversary edition of Halo 2 is released as a true stand-alone game with it's own matchmaking hopper and in no way relies on Halo 4's hopper then it is a totally brilliant decision. There has been big pushes lately to get people back a Halo, even Halo 4 saw a small bump in numbers recently. Halo 3 is no where near it's hay-day numbers but has always kept a community. The one thing I always hear is the argument between fans as to which is better, 2 or 3. Bring back 2, the win/lose ranking system or even Halo 3's system, and then add to that the best of 1, 2, 3, 4 and you would make many, many, many people very happy.

None of you guys know me but I've been saying for a long time that it confused me as to why MS never considered bringing a "Classic Map Pack Disc" to the marketplace where it could hold 40-60 of the all-time greatest and fan approved maps to play through the current gen hopper? This may be MS response to that. I can hope.

PS: I'll be taking reservations for my backpack starting today. I carry to victories, 50 land, and teabag celebrations. Peace!
