Yeah, I was a little irritated about the grape cost thing.... that and one is shipped, one is FOB Philly, on those so, it's really not even a good comparison.

But, yes, profit is good.

Anyone who is a big fan of the tart, citrusy style of NZ savignon blanc owes it to themselves to try this one:

I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber. Didn't want to do it.. felt... I owed it to them.

In other news, I had half a two-buck-chuck from TJ's left over from the other night, so I drank that while I made my meatballs for the spaghetti. Then it came time for the sauce and I absolutely HAD TO crack open a spizy Zin for that....

... but now the dilemma is this: I want to finish the red, even though there's like 3/4 of the bottle left. But it's about a million degrees in Nebraska right now, and I have to help coach a Little League tournament tomorrow in the blazing heat.

I think I gotta bite the bullet and finish the zin, then hydrate like hell tomorrow during the game.

I mean, right? It's almost a moral imperative. Right?

Drink away. It's around 68 here in beautiful New Hampshire, and I just polished off the back half of a Cab/Merlot mix. Temperature doesn't affect me in terms of drinking.

What are you waiting for, get to drinkin'.

So you're in New Hampshire. I was there a few summers ago visiting some relatives in Laconia. Funny, we flew into Manchester and I didn't even get your reference because I was sure you lived in San Diego. My aunt and uncle had a place near the lake, a place called Saunders cove, beach or something like that.

Well, considering my two BP locations that I've used for the last 4 years or so were either the Welshly Arms Hotel or Six crooked highways, it's understandable. Where'd you get San Diego from?

Been to Laconia many times, but never the lake. It sure is beautiful in that part of the state, though-the lakes region and the White Mountains are all around you. If you're ever in the neighborhood...

I guess I never made sense of your locations, not really knowing what the six crooked highway is. Where'd I get San Diego? I don't know, I must've confused you with someone else, I do that often.

I stole six crooked highways from A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall.

I'd call you senile, but you're probably younger than I am.

Update on the zin dilemma - I drank the whole bottle. And roasted the next day. It was crazy hot, and we had five games.

Must not have hurt my coaching - we came in third or something like that.

knapplc,
This might help......drink the good stuff first....then after a couple of glasses, your taste buds will dull, and the second (crappier) bottle will not be as tasteless/taste bad.

Not saying you won't tell the difference, but just that you won't care as much.....

:gobucks3::gobucks4::banger: Life is too short to drink bad wine!

I think you and I might have differing opinions on what qualifies as a "dilemma" vis-a-vis drinking...

and will someone finally fucking congratulate AKAK?
