Well hell, don't stop at zombie apocalypse plot lines. Pretty much any futuristic, apoalyptic, science fiction, etc. plot line is, by its very nature, "out there." But a well-made entry in any of those genres is able to include a plot that flows naturally and doesn't leave me shaking my head.

I certainly didn't mean to insult anyone's religious beliefs or anything like that. I just thought those scenes were incredibly contrived, forced, and totally unnatural, regardless of whether the characters were Southern Christians (but in fact, the sheriff expressly said he was not religous during his little diatribe). I often feel the same about the walkie-talkie scenes. The acting isn't great (although I do like Norman Reedus in his role) and the lines are forced and not particularly believable.
