The Sun Will Still Rise

hard for me to be angry...we got beat...plain and simple. It happens. I was disappointed in the defense but with as many injuries as we have had it was bound to happen.

We all know that one of our biggest warts was special teams and it bit us in the ass earlier in the year and we all knew it would crop up again....except we hoped it wouldn't happen against one of the better teams. The KO return set the tone for Wisky and unfortunately we never recovered.

Garbage removed
I don't think the coordinators are to blame here. The players still have to show up and play the game, which ours didn't do tonight. I do agree though that Hankins should have been in there, the guy is a beast.

Now I raise the question to you guys:

How different would this game have been if we had a healthy secondary and if the game was in the 'Shoe?
I don't know if the secondary would have done much to the outcome. They didn't play one of their better games tonight, but the glaring problems on defense were the front 7 and their inability to stop the running game.

The only thing that really pisses me off is:

This game= Mark May porn

I can't stand him getting his jollies

In all seriousness, we never overcame the opening kickoff, which it seemed was destined to happen eventually (a KO or PR for TD against a good team we couldn't get past). Our ST have not improved at all since week 1, so this team just doesn't have the intangibles of, say, the 2002 team to be able to overcome adversity on the road.

Hey - great let's imagine game Nick!

Doesn't matter, you don't get to play every game in the comfort of your home stadium. If you want to be a champion you've got to go win on the road. If this team wants to have a chance to win the Big Ten championship and make a BCS game it will have to buckle down and refocus. Excuses and what if's don't do anything for you.

Yep. They threw a huge blow right out of the gates and it seemed to stun us for the whole first half. Credit Wisky, as much as it pains me to say that.
