If you don't get a response, it's not because they don't undestand it - it's just that they would rather not be bothered by obnoxious chants as they are going about their daily routine.

That is sad...

During a vaca in Hawaii (Kona) we had an older couple yell O-H at us at our hotel, I was wearing an OSU cap and shirt. Of course we yelled I-O back, then chatted a bit about Ohio and such. Nice people. In all honesty the whole O-H-I-O chant gets annoying during gameday, half the time I don't respond.

There are terrorists in this thread.

It happens a lot out here in Las Vegas. One time I even explained it to a lady I saw wearing not only an OSU shirt, but had a bumper sticker and a license plate frame.

It's an epidemic sweeping the nation. I guess it comes with the success.
