Dude - did you ever eat squash when we lived in PA? I sure as hell didn't.

The closest I come to a salad is either the mashed potatoes or the stuffing
No, but it was a nickname of mine  There are a lot of amish/mennonite people around but I don't think they're answering random surveys.

That said, squash is woefully underrepresented on the American dinner table. Roasted delicata squash slices? Acorn squash bowls (filled with meat, nuts, apples, etc)? So good, but I didn't really eat it until a few years ago.

Before that it was just the butternut squash mush (which can be good but a much different caliber of food).

As I said earlier, since the mid-90s, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, and Georgia have competed for the National Championship under whatever system was in place. Twice, including last year, two SEC teams faced each other in that game.

Now, I would not expect this board to give any props the hated SEC for anything. But to say that Bama is viewed by the football world as the sole SEC power program, is simply untrue. When making a statement about how the football world sees the SEC, the opinion of Gator or Buckeye fans is entirely irrelevant. Of greater import is how the non-SEC and non-B1G fans view the strength of the conferences. And if you poll them, the SEC would be seen as stronger. Which can hurt tOSU, no matter the underlying truth of the opinion. Which was, I think, Ord's point.

And all those programs have also had abysmal runs in that time frame. At ny given time, there's rarely more than 1 or 2 top end programs.
Auburn is anonymous. UT is a bottom feeder. UF pingpongs between bottom feeder and above average. LSU had a couple decent years followed by mostly underperforming the hype... including this year.
Your statement was true from around 06 to 11... but that was a long time ago now.

You can try to spin that your personal view, rooted in cheering for Bama, is universal outside ESPN's moneyed interest ... and you may even be right considering the power and influence of that propaganda; but it's not based in reality or recent results.

Those are all of the wins for Ar*y, who was ranked by both the AP and the Coaches this week. Folks need to look at a little *ore than W-L record before voting.

The Co**ittee was a little *ore discri*inating, at least, not putting Ar*y in their top 25.

I hate to break it to those in the win B1G, go to the Playoffs camp, but this week's rankings have revealed there's very little chance of that happening. Considering they've ranked us #10 for the entirety of this season shows it would take A LOT to happen.

I believe I've made my stance clear on what would make a successful season for this squad. I'd be ecstatic for anyone to come back here and give me a big fat "I told you so." Really, feel free to nah nah nah nah boo boo me if that beautiful trophy stands next to our boys on the field. But, for now, I'm just loving this week and looking forward to Saturday.

And, I won't go into how ridiculous the rest of those rankings may be....
