The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

They needed not one but two miracles to avoid having two losses and thus their ranking.

Only an issue if someone wants to make it be.

For everyone else it's 'just win baby'.
If i was PAC id be livid theyre ranked so low.
Hard to also imagine an undefeated PAC champ - USC no less - not even being in the CFP discussion.
They have a better case than ND-Clemson 3rd rematch, SEC CG loser, or Aggy imo.

I only brought up our games played bc it's the only thing that could be held against USC... and i think we're in (if we handle business)

I still think you let them in if they win next week.
Very Very likely Bama/OSU/Clemson win. In that case you can't leave out undefeated PAC-12 champ no matter how many close games they had or how we games they played.
Let them have their shot. aTm got whooped by Bama and ND/Clemson would have had their shot against each other. You play the games for a reason!

Remember the 2002 Buckeyes.

I think UF's loss last night probably killed whatever hope A&M had but you bring up a good point with USC. Ironic that it would be between them and ND if Clemson beats ND.

Speaking of some delicious tears, what happens if Clemson loses to ND for the second time? I haven't seen any of the talking heads even broach the topic.

Love to see them all lose their minds trying to rationalize a 2 loss Clemson getting in the CFP.

Not buying it. Those Buckeyes had close games but nonetheless ran a thirteen game gauntlet while USC at best will have won six games with three (or four depending on what happens vs UW) being won in less than convincing fashion. When comparing this year's Buckeyes and Trojans, the Buckeyes have more thoroughly passed the "eye test".

The problem is that "eye test" is just bollocks to justify whatever people want to see.
USC is probably warmup for whoever is ranked #1... regardless, they're an undefeated P5 champ.
We're going to put a 3rd rematch in over an undefeated champ ? That's ESPN money talking again.

Right here we now know that Mullen will never lead the gators to a title. If he can't own a loss, he doesn't have what it takes.

Pretty sure he went in at halftime blaming his QB for missing throws. Can't imagine Day giving that interview. Need to expand the playoff to 8 so these bitches can see what real football is. Can't wait to see Bama go DVDA on them next week.

I can see your point but this year I don't think a P5 conference championship is as meaningful for those who played abbreviated seasons.

Is there any way ND can get rolled so bad next week they get left out? As long as they don't matchup Clemson and the Domers on New Years there won't be a 3rd rematch.
