The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

I find the number of points each team gets as very telling and there are more groups than rankings:
1. Bama is way out ahead and thought of in their own class right now.
2. Next group of Georgia, OSU, Clemson is pretty tight and could go any way.
3. Oklahoma LSU and Notre Dame are for some reason half a step behind.
I don't see a difference between any of these groups, but for some reason the coaches seem to.
4. Then West Virginia, Auburn, Washington and Penn State are all within 53 points.
That is the end of what the polls view as playoff contenders. It would take a lot for any of the teams below to make it.
5. Wisconsin (12) down to Miami (17) are all steady drops of ~40 points each. These are teams that can make a NY6 bowl if they keep it up.
6. Somewhere around Oregon, Sparty, Texas and Okie State starts the list of poll fillers. No one thinks of them as great teams, but we need to get to that magical 25 number somehow.

I would replace Clemson with any of Oklahoma, LSU, or ND

They didn’t have Kelly Bryant OR hunter lawerance for that game against the cuse

and for the record, OSU didn't have Nick Bosa for a night game on the road vs a top 10 opponent.

If teams are getting mulligans for shit like a QB being hurt then OSU should get bonus points for winning without a top 5 NFL draft pick.

You could make the argument we should be no lower than#2. We beat two top 15(at the time) teams on the road. Look who Bama and Georgia have beaten.

Absolutely.

OSU and, to be fair, ND both have scalps so far in terms of SOS.

UGA and Clemson have nothing to warrant their position except ESPN eye test bullshit
