Welcome. This is the first of what will be a weekly thread to discuss what's on the opponent's mind. Feel free to dig up any comments that are funny, ridiculous, on point, or anything in between. Be sure to give credit to the poster and site.

I had planned on creating a paint masterpiece, but it was not to be. It's ok, because I found this on twitter...

Unfortunately, the Bucks have a senior heisman contender (hate saying that) in Braxton Miller. And, although they do lose Carlos Hyde and a lot of other important pieces, they are sure to reload.

That being said, if Gunner really was going to prove everyone wrong and take the CFB world by storm, there would be no better game to do it in than this one. It would be the single most important win in this program's history. So, there is certainly a motivational factor the team will be striving towards.

Also, Tuberville vs. Meyer will be nice match up to watch
.

Not s very active football board, and after that post, which was in April, the discussion quickly devolves into an internal argument about something. I quit reading.

Stopped by like three other sites...aaaaand...nothing.

Whats the @ORD_Buckeye bat signal?

Something has taken the wind out of them. Not a lot of bUCkeye state smack anymore.

I do appreciate the ridiculousness of taking over a stadium three times the size of the one they can't fill.
Hey now, give me a little credit for being friends with non-juggalo Cincinnatians. I'm sure there's plenty of them still going strong in their own special ways.

I have the urge to throw punches every time I see a black OSU jersey, and now I have a reason! Yay.

I was at a wedding this weekend with some Cincinnati folks. The smack talk was pretty mild- mostly about how OSU should be nervous because we struggled against Navy and they dominated Toledo.

I like my black OSU jersey...

I better like it at least, paid $135 for the stupid thing

Yeah, they're certainly going strong here with false bravado. I've already gotten glares at a gas station and Kroger with an OSU shirt on, and a teller at the bank wanted to talk shit too about how UC was the real deal and I should be ashamed for rooting for the enemy when I live in Cincinnati, and that I was on the OSU bandwagon(I've rooted for The Buckeyes since I moved to Cincinnati in 1993, I've seen too many crappy seasons and scUM upsets to be bandwagon at this point). My job also is deciding to put up UC banners and encourage staff to wear black since I'm the only OSU fan as well. I think all of this cute and laughable, as UC is not a rival, they're barely on the Buckeye radar. And I tell people so. I laugh even harder at people who say I'm a fake fan because I didn't go to OSU but 9 out of 10 people I ask if they went to UC, they did not, lol. I hope OSU blows them out to shut up these UC blowhards who didn't even realize that UC had a football team until around 2007. Funny thing is, the only people talking are the fans, the players and coaches are quiet as church mouses because they know they're overmatched by the Buckeyes. A defense that allowed Toledo back in the game has to be shivering now. Cant wait to rep the S&G on Saturday and send the Juggalos back into their holes. UC isn't even considered little brother in my book, they're not in the family

UC football fans embarrass me. They only show up to games for the beer.

Do you remember over 10yrs ago when they wouldn't even show up for that? And you had to purchase football tickets to even be able to get basketball tickets because attendence was so low. I remember drinking with a buddy when I was home for a weekend at a college, we were sitting in a bar on short vine, and a guy literally giving us tickets that were 2 rows behind the bench. And there may have Been a few thousand people. Maybe. But now in 2014 they're contenders? Right

My wife and I were invited by some friends to the UC/Miami game this past weekend at Paul Brown. We took in Octoberfest, had an early dinner at the Morlein House and enjoyed the game.
Tubbs and UC should be embarrassed by their effort. Miami has less talent at basically every position and had a chance to tie the game with four minutes left in the 4th.
Despite being in the middle of a 16 game losing streak, Miami played their absolute asses off and were running on guts and fumes at the end of the game.

Classic "look ahead" game for Cincinnati, they wanted to get it over with ASAP and focus on Ohio State.
With a bye week and a home game, I'd probably feel pretty comfortable taking Ohio State and laying the 14 points.

Remeber it? That was when I had UC football season tickets. They were affordable and it was a way to give back to my alma matter. Then the douchbag east siders and drinken west sidders started showing up and UC games became obnoxious Bengal games. I couldn't take my kids anymore because of the conduct of UC fans. I have taken my kids to Ohio State games many times. It's such a great atmosphere. UC games I am afraid to take my family because of the vulgarity, drunkeness and the threat of violence. Just like a Bengals game.

I think back to 2002 when U/C gave us fits in that game. It did not look promising for a win in that one, but somehow we pulled out in the end. This year I took in the Toledo game with U/C and I thought that the Gunner looked pretty classy. I hope we can contain him this Saturday. If not, we could be in for a long afternoon.

Funny thing is, UC fans think Buckeye fans are obnoxious and rude and don't like coming to our games. And I provide them the same points you have. It has Become a Bengals type atmosphere. And that's not a compliment. I'd like to take my 13yo step daughter to a UC game but the fans can be too much, especially the later the game gets and thw drunker they get
