Apparently Ohio St was leading after 5 but the bats went silent and the bullpen surrendered 9 walks and there were 3 errors late. Lovely
Canzone and Foppe had solo HRs. Bucks had 6 hits all in the first 5 innings.
Edit: found this that corroborates what I was told. No surprise Indiana St ran out a bunch of LHP and we struggled. Glad Beals at least seemed whizzed off about getting drilled. It appears Lonsway threw strikes, which is something he didn’t do during the summer (10 BB per 9 IP).
Also worth noting Dingler is out for a while after knee surgery. Should be good to go by February when it matters.

S&G World Series wrapped up and we get no box scores and no stats for any of the games. Just a brief write up on the official site and that’s it. I can’t ever remember that happening. Last couple years they had box scores for every game & cumulative stats for everyone at the end of the series, but now we don’t even get a box score for a single game. Weak

Beals is running the program into the ground. I used to be the biggest OSU baseball supporter around. Now I rarely even think of it.

Wilson is the son of Jodi and Jeff Wilson and played high school baseball for coach Chris Huesman at Dublin Jerome … played at Wabash Valley CC for coach Rob Fournier last spring that finished 45-11 and finished the year ranked No. 7 in the NJCAA poll … two-time first team All-District (2016-17) and three-time first team All-OCC (2015-17) … two-time All-Metro team (2016-17) … hit .420 as senior with 10 doubles and went 5-2 on the mound … played summer ball for coach Kelly Ratcliff on Ohio Elite in 2017 … would like to pursue a degree in business management.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball program has signed six new recruits for the 2020 season, head coach Greg Beals announced Wednesday. All six signees are Ohioans; the 2019 recruiting class brings in two outfielders, two infielders and two pitchers.
“We are excited to announce this years’ recruiting class of future Buckeyes,” Beals said. “This class more than anything has the makeup we are looking for in our student-athletes – athletic, versatile, great competitors and most importantly strong academically. Once again we have attracted a group of young men with a strong history of success on and off the field. I foresee this group all making an immediate impact in our program.”
The 2019 signing class includes: Caden Kaiser (OF/1B, Lewis Center, Ohio), Nate Karaffa (INF, Toronto, Ohio), Tyler Kean (RHP, Springboro, Ohio), Mitchell Okuley (OF, Powell, Ohio), Yianni Skeriotis (RHP, Massillon, Ohio) and Sam Wilson (INF, Dublin, Ohio).
