Impressed by the Buckeyes approach at the plate so far against Jacob's who is a hell of a pitcher.

Play by play just said Graveline recorded a 6.2 second 60 this year??? Jebus that's flying.
Buckeyes already got Jacob's up to almost 60 pitches through 2 innings. Very good discipline so far.

Wink looks pretty good but he needs to pay better attention to his runners going forward. That pitch watch seems to distract quite a bit.

Ugh. Another error. Ball drop between 3 guys in short left. Little wind gust causing problems but Wink gets out of it. Early season adversity

Should be the last inning for Jacobs. Ellis took him to the wall there could used that end gust.

Outstanding play for 2nd out in left field. That wouldve been 3 bases easy. Hopefully that's all for Jacobs

Miller, Stephens and Graveline are tall solid in our middle. Really like them.

Damnit man. Started the 5th off with two on no outs, ended with a double play and a web gem by the ASU 2nd baseman Kyle Walker who saved a run with serious superman effort diving catch on a rocket up the middle that saved a run. Down 6-4 bottom 5.
Shaw is a fly ball pitcher which can be scary but he's 6 up and 6 down including big whiffs on Tobias and Cromwick! Great looking lefty for the Bucks. 6-4 end of 5.
Some promise although it is very early in the Haire tenure. And I felt the same way last season after the Grand Canyon series and we fell apart for a month and a half.

Gotta get some guys on base in these last 3 innings to have a chance. Can't depend on the long ball.

Oh damn. Shaw is the best looking pitcher I've seen off the bench in a while for the Bucks. 9 in a row, 4 K's and nothing even sniffing damage. I love this kid.

I have to correct something that was said earlier, it was Jamoruski (sp?) that had the 6.2 60 not Graveline. This is the Buckeyes Elly De La Cruz with less power so let's see if he causes a bunch of trouble right quick here.

5th pitch and Jamo steals second easy, Wow. Bussey with a little bloop over third and Jamo rounds the bases! 6-5 Devils, 1 on No out.
That is text book run manufacturing right there. Beautiful to see. Bussey was 0 for 3 with 3 K's before that at bat. And now an infield single puts guys on 1st, 2nd still no out.
Need a huge inning now.
Fake bunt and a double steal puts em on 2nd and 3rd and the third baseman saved an awful throw down which would have tied it. Graveline at the plate. And now they are loaded for Pettorini. Sac fly to left and we're all tied up with guys on 1st and 2nd. Great great at bat for Bussey coming all the way around this inning.
Another pitcher in now, Lucas Kelley. Going to face Stephens and Miller with a chance for the Bucks to take the lead. Stephens lined out to center. 2 down. Eckleman up now not Miller. Pitcher bringing mid 90's up there. Dang. Outstanding hitting by Eckleman a liner that lands a foot inside the deep left field foul line and plates both runners. Huge double by Eck!! 8-6 Buckeyes two outs. Ellis got plunked on the shoulder so now its Miller with 2 on. Miller caught watching. Buckeyes out in front now at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, 8-6 and I believe Shaw is going to come back out for another inning vs 9-2-1.
