The Ohio State Baseball (Official Thread)

so what's the expectations/outlook for tOSU this season?

Well we have a new Coach, Justin Haire. He was at Campbell fpr last 10 years but he is an Ohio Native. Here's a snippet on him...

Haire brings a proven history of success to Columbus after serving as the head coach at Campbell for the last 10 seasons. He won 317 games while at the helm of the Camels' program, averaging over 30 wins per season. He was named the Big South Coach of the Year four times (2018, 2021, 2022, 2023). Haire led the Camels to five consecutive Big South regular season titles from 2018-23 and four Big South Tournament titles (2018, 2019, 2022, 2023). Haire and the Camels reached five NCAA Regionals and won seven NCAA Tournament games.

We have some talent coming back plus some good additions. OF will have some speed and there's alot of excitement about the JUCO transfer Marc Stephens. Pitching has a couple studs including pre season all american Blaine Wynk.

The pre season schedule is much improved but definitely difficult. I'll say they hover around .500 overall and then improve as season goes on. Excited to see what the new Coach brings. Recruiting seems to be better so far too.

just like in any sport, recruiting is HUGE.
sure you can scrap and fight and hang around, but without the horses, you'll never truly compete.

hope he can build y'all a winner and maybe we can meet up in Omaha one day.

Closest I've ever seen OSU baseball to Omaha was the 1999 team being 1 win away and losing to CS Fullerton. Dammit it still pisses me off

i love watching the CWS and it’s in my bucket list to attend in person.

but even on TV, watching your team in Omaha is freaking AWESOME!!!!
was way better at Rosenblatt than that eyesore they use now though.

and then of course watching your team win the whole thing never gets old!
i want to win it every damn year.
