My friend Nate does this for a living on the side of school. He was a stoner band geek, so he started making a 1 foot replica of himself playing drums, but now, people pay him to make things, and he makes a LOT and does it quick. He says 8 hours of work can produce a 1 foot large model (including shopping), and he gets about 120 bucks for each one. We were going to use a Saturday to make a Maurice Clarett, but we got started, school got in the way, then I found out he's a jerk. :(

His pieces got turned into a Fat Albert, if I recall. Actually, I may have been a Fat Albert and a Biggie Smalls, because there were enough pieces for both of them and their families in Clarett's. <rimshot>

I'll see if I can find a picture of the Fat Albert, though, I don't remember who he sold it to.

1. The Lego Shoe is beautiful...and for two reasons. One is that it looks exactly like The Shoe. A couple of those pictures look like they may be actual pictures of The Shoe. The other reason is that The Shoe is the most holy and beautiful place in the world. Anything resembling it is therefore amazing. But it's tough to do something like this, and not take away from something as magnificant as The Shoe...and somehow this guy did it.
