The 'Shoe is 8'x6' and contains 1,000,000 pieces, which would put it's value in the range of $80K-$100K. The room he assembled this in appears to be about 20'x15', and is stacked floor to ceiling with bins of more LEGO along all four walls, and down the center where he's made tables by laying tabletops over top of Sterilite bins.

There is at least a quarter of a million dollars worth of bricks there, probably way more.

... and in case you missed it, this 'Shoe isn't a one-off project. He's got 1:100 scale replicas of the Vern Riffe Building, the Borden Building, and the Huntington Center to go with it.
