son and I played Thursday afternoon - he out drove me on 2 holes - i'm not a long hitter by any standard - about 260 on a good day, but probably average 240 - both holes he passed me I hit about 245ish, his were about 260 - he's still learning and therefore inconsistent, but I'm thinking next year I'm going to have to make him play from the tips to give me a chance

I played with a friend on Saturday evening, i played pretty solid - for me, shot a 45 (+10) - i knew i left some shots on the course, but was pretty happy. i went out yesterday morning with my son, played okish, but had 2 "blow up holes" but finished par, par, bogey - shot a 46. went back out yesterday afternoon, played really well, hitting fairways, birdied the lone par 5 - 2 long puts made to save par, and even one putt from the fringe to save par after a horrible chip - bogey the last hole to end the 9 at 40 - by far my best round of the year - and the 2nd best round of my life (I shot a +4 back when I was a teenager, LOL)
