Bri, not many. Your best bet(s), are Pasatiempo just north of Santa Cruz, maybe a bit out of your way if you're going down 1. Was private, now (understand) that they're accepting outsiders (Alistair McKenzie course). Monterey is your next stop, there are several. Poppy Hills (home of NCGA) is $90 for NCGA members, probably about $150(?). Great course. Also over there are the Fort Ord courses, Bayonet and Black Horse. Get a coupon, about $50. Bayonet will eat your lunch, and Black Horse is not too far behind. Going south into Pismo Beach area are also some good ones. Cypress Ridge will be less than $150, Avila Beach is a tricky course, a bit north of Pismo. Monarch Dunes in Oceano, Morro Bay GC is fun (play mid morning when fog lifts), Hunter Ranch, off 101/46 by Paso Robles, Blacklake, also around Oceano Beach (pismo area), also two around Lompoc, played both, just can't remember their names, one military, and one near the west coast Space-X launching site. Then you get into Santa Barbara, and your $200 gets blown to heck. Good luck. PS, what are you doing shadowing your daughter's honeymoon?

If in Cabo there are many courses there. You could do one of those 'presentations' that are out to sell you a timeshare, you can score free round. Did that, and played Cabo del Sol (Nicklaus design), and saved $350. Got them to throw in clubs and cart (and a couple things for wife and daughter). Ended up costing me $15,000 but have enjoyed the various resorts in Mexico. If you do, remember these guys are high pressure, and very very good at their jobs. Tiger has designed a couple down there, but we haven't been back, as the gang stuff is a bit intimidating, as well as the Covid proliferation. We're trying to unload our timeshare down there for those reasons. If you stay in an upscale resort/hotel, the concierge should be able to hook you up, and most likely get you a discount on your fees. Also played the Vindanta course on the Mexican Riviera, just north of the Mayacama course. Bought a sleeve of balls, lost two of them on first two holes, went into the brush, came out with eight new-enough balls to complete my round. PS, you get treated pretty well on those courses, much more so than walking on an upscale course in the States. Enjoy.

Bill Murray has replaced Jack Lemmon as a fan favorite. Murray's antics, such as taking a woman from behind the ropes, and having her hit a bunker shot, are legendary. Much more imaginative than Lemmon - check out his clothes.....Was onsite and up close when Lemmon was hanging over the edge, hitting his ball, with Clint Eastwood and the other two in the foursome holding on to Lemmon's belt. Haven't played Pebble in 35 years, but it's still the benchmark to my way of thinking. Go to Roy's at Spanish Bay for lunch and some drinks overlooking the Pacific. Always a stop when wife and I visit. To me, it's still the Crosby Clambake.....any Buckeyes playing this year?

haven't had the pleasure Dub. Had a buddy that was on men's club board, but he has since moved to Pinehurst. one guy at our club tried to recreate Tiger's what - 65 foot putt, and never came close. You had the pleasure? Played Pebble thrice - at $52, $75, and $125 - so you know it's many years ago. Poppy Hills is 'our' NCGA headquarters, so get to play that for $90 including cart, try to do at least twice a year. Spyglass was NCGA hq before Poppy was built, so played it two-three times a year with the men's club. Prefer Spyglass to Pebble. Have lived in northern Cali since 19976, so mostly play up here. Been a member of Kings Country Club for 17 years, so wife says if we're paying for KCC, then you play outside on your own allowance. Ouch. Grew up on Scarlet & Gray in C'bus. Haven't played there in 35 years.
