THE GAME: ttun @ tOSU, Sat Nov 26, 12pm, FOX

Because both teams are beat up bigtime. We recruited better, therefore our depth is much much better. Plus it's in Cbus.

i feel like it’s a matchup nightmare for us. Our defense — against formidable offenses — has been…underwhelming. If we can’t get yards on first down on the ground we are going to be forced into obvious passing situations and Stroud looks pretty rough against blitzes.

Moreover, I doubt they’re dumb enough to leave Harrison in single coverage especially when Fleming literally can’t catch at this point/doesn’t look to get open consistently. It just doesn’t look that good to me given what we’ve seen lately and our styles.

I absolutely want to be wrong, but Stroud forcing to Harrison was really concerning to me today albeit Egbuka had himself a nice game for the first time in a minute. This by far the best defense we have faced this season and by far and away the best offensive line. I could see Eichenberg going ham, but the long balls given up by the secondary is discomforting too.

i don’t know.

Formidable offense? We talking about Michigan?

I’m making an effort to be confident and/or positive about this game and I just can’t really get there.

From strictly a football perspective, if you’re confident in a win, why?

TTUN has a great run game, but are one-dimensional and will struggle if they are trailing more than a TD late in the game. The defense has had most issues against the pass, and the DL and LBs are significantly better this year.

When healthy, OSU has been more consistent on offense and capable of dominant quarters against good defenses. Hayden is a huge boost when everyone else is hurt. The offense is completely different with any running game. TTUN's defense is strong up the middle but mediocre in the secondary.

Day & Wilson can be very creative when they want to be. This is more hopeful thinking, but I'd be surprised if they don't have some special packages and plays prepped. If they don't have that and more tempo to go to, I have to wonder what they've been doing all year.

Number one reason is the Buckeyes are going into next weekend angry. Very angry. Second I think our defensive strengths match up with SCUM. Maryland scared the hell out of me due to their talent at skill positions and Tualia is easily the second most talented QB in the conference. IDK SCUM’s offense just doesn’t scare me. Don’t think it’ll be like last year when their OL was driving our DL 7 yards down the field.

That’s another thing about which I forgot: Mozzy Smifh is a borderline animal and Matthew Jones went out — and he hasn’t even been playing well due to the injury before he basically went down. I can’t imagine that gets straightened out in a week given how he looked “walking” off.

I’m not trying to be a pessimist, literally just trying to understand the thoughts of others.

There are plenty of concerns on the OSU side. It’s a flawed team for sure.

To finish the analysis though, you have to ask about tsun’s flaws. They have less talent man for man. They are completely one dimensional and their best player got hurt today. They do not have a great QB. Their defense has good stats but hasn’t seen anything like Harrison, Stroud and company. They are also on the road against an opponent who has taken 15 of the last 17 meetings and are pissed off and looking for revenge.

There is a lot to be concerned about from their side. More so than on the OSU side imo.

Was more speaking to how it wasn’t particularly impressive against Maryland or Ped
So, things wrong with your post:

Michigan's offense is not formidable. It's Corum, and then whoever goes in motion is getting the ball. It's pathetic.

Dallan is good for the run game. There's more to this, but it's all speculation on my part, so I'll leave it at this.

They can try to cover Harrison. It won't work. They can double him all they want. It still won't go well for them. Their secondary is ass. Flemming and Egbuka would be more than enough if they could somehow eliminate Marv (spoiler: they can't)

Egbuka balled out today. I don't see what you're seeing.

Long balls given up? To McCarthy? Lol ok.

I also don’t think enough credit is given to lil Tia. The dude is a legit good QB when he’s healthy. Way better than anything SCUM has. If SCUM wins it’ll be because they ran for 300 yards again.

Maryland under Locksley = Illinois under Zook.

Tons of talent, usually poorly coached enough to lose a few games they shouldn't but good for one game a year when they play out of their skull.
