THE GAME: ttun @ tOSU, Sat Nov 26, 12pm, FOX

My only concern in this game is our defense against their run game. I know that TTUN took a step back when Corum went out but that could just be running back timing of hitting certain holes or cut back lanes that linemen create that only Corum sees. Both can be fixed with practice. They have leaned on Corum A LOT, but their O Line is better than last year and their QB has legs too. I'm just hoping Knowles has a few run blitzes up his sleeve that we have not shown on film this year. We may also need to play some aggressive coverage on the outside, load up the box with a spy and dare that kid to beat us with his arm. I know his legs and his mouth work but I'm still not sold on his arm, and neither is hairball.

Listen, I'm no slappy for the skunk bears. I hate them and their mouthy fans that I have had to listen to for 360 F///ing days. I just think we need to take away the one thing they do well.

Even if Knowles doesn't have "run blitzes" in the arsenal - he does - but even if he doesn't, the defense is LIGHT YEARS ahead of where they were last year.

They are mostly playing downhill and aggressively filling their gaps (run fit) and not playing on their heels like they were last year. The entire mentality is so different it's not even remotely comparable.

Is Corum confirmed out?
No announcement with regards to Saturday. I was referring to when he went "OUT" against Illinois. Even though Corum has handled the bulk of the load all season, if he is out for the weekend, we should still respect the fact that his line makes the holes or holds the blocks long enough for him to find creases. They can replicate that with another running back.

Corums cutting ability is what makes him so dangerous.

Yes we should still respect their lines ability to create holes, but none of those other RBs have that sharp cut on a dime that Corum does. Even Donovan Edwards is a decent drop off from him, then it’s a huge drop off after Edwards.

They didn't do it Saturday vs the Illini. Their run game took a huge nose dive after Corum went out.

Agreed. Corum does things that other RBs don't. His cuts and his ability to break tackles and move piles is special. He is really hard to tackle and has surprising speed. If he is out or limited it does not bode well for the skunkbears.
