The Game: ttun at tOSU, Dec. 12 (cancelled by cowardly Vulvarines)

GIVING IT A SHOT. If I were setting betting odds, I'd put the chances that The Game gets played this week at like 15 percent. I don't really think it's going to happen, but I also think Michigan truly is going to give it a shot.

I'll say this, though – if Michigan voluntarily cancels this game without Big Ten protocol mandating a cancelation, Buckeye fans are going to lose their minds after watching Ohio State play a game this weekend with two dozen people sidelined.

I blame the BCS and now the CFP. I see people all over the internet who only care about "the natty", especially younger fans. It wasn't all that long ago when the goals at Ohio State were simple:

Beat TSUN
Win the B1G
Win the Rose Bowl

If you got voted national champions on top of it that was great, but it wasn't the season-long, all-consuming goal. It was a by-product of achieving your goals.

Now we've got fans who pretty much want to skip the entire season and go straight to the CFP. :bonk:

I blame ESPN. The CFP is literally the only thing they talk about for the duration of the football season. Every game - no matter who is playing - is filled with conjecture on "who's in your top four?"; "Who's in?"; "Who's out?"; "Who's schedule helps them make the CFP, who's doesn't?" Jesus, in Saturday's game against Sparty, they spent as much time talking about why Texas A&M and Florida deserved to the in the top 4 instead of tOSU. There was a damn graphic on the bottom of the screen all game pimping the semi final games - which were still 4 weeks away at the time!

edit - most importantly - fuck scUM!!!

It’s almost like sEcSPiN has a vested interest in the CFP and the SEC/ACC....

Only seen one "fuck TTUM" on this page so far. Those are rookie numbers, friends.

Fuck em'.

Edit - I'll feel an ounce of true heart warming satisfaction when tOSU takes over the all time series record.

Until then? Fuck em' twice and once more on Sunday.
I mean, I'll feel satisfaction when the Bucks take the all time series record, but still fuck 'em after that too.
