The Game, tOSU at ttun, Nov. 27th,12pm FOX (3654 down to 0)

I was at that game. It was 35°F and raining for long stretches of the game. I remember 3 things from that game: Beanie running wild, Gholston destroying Henne, and Michigan receivers dropping passes.

My first and only game in that landfill of a stadium, and I'll gladly make it my last. 5-0 against Michigan in person and 1-0 in that whore of a city is a record I'll gladly take to my grave.
Like you, that was my first visit to the Giant Toilet and I will not return.

Not for a Game, anyway. But after TQTFS, and tear that place down, I’ll happily return to piss on what’s left.

Examples of algorithms struggling with style infliction imo.

If Stroud and Day can handle the multiple looks of the tsun defense and they play clean overall, this doesn't have to be all that close.

On the other side of the field, you have to hope your DC can stay one step ahead of Day, pressure/confuse/frustrate Stroud, contain Henderson and get help in the form of penalties and turnovers.

A lot more has to go tsun's way than has to go OSU's way.
Wouldn’t it be just lovely if Ohio State came out and just punched them in the fucking mouth on the ground and unleashed Henderson to his maximum ability… they’ve literally been saving him up all year for this moment.

6-0 in person myself and I have never even entertained the idea of going up there for a Game.

Woody willing I see the boys run my personal record to 7-0 in Columbus next year.

Yeah. It would leave tsun in it longer but, sooner or later, they'd have to cheat to stop Henderson and then those WR's are still there.

If it were any other game, my head would just say the best offense wins in modern college football. Especially the best offense that has a true pick your poison balance between the pass threat and the run threat.

There is no schadenfreude so sweet as wearing Buckeye gear up there after we run their asses ragged.

2007 was exquisite because all the seniors at the university had to accept that they'd never experience a triumph in The Game while as a student. I was sitting in the student section, and they were crushed.

Most teams still sell out to stop the run and take their chances with the passing game and maybe less than “on” Stroud shows up.

It would be great if Michigan got cocky and tried to actually shut down the entire offense, leaving themselves open to the run, Ohio State just ran through their focus on stopping the run because fuck them, or they do what everyone else does and Stroud quickly starts shredding them through the air.

The dynamics of how exactly this plays out is, again, why Vegas seems to be comfortable with it being a close game.

Another factor, which MSU used to great effect, was using hurry up to limit the fuckery that UM is able to utilize on defense. That would be a nice little wrinkle for OSU’s offense to throw in as well.

That pre-snap movement of the 2 TE and RB out to the flank to make the D signal it's intent is something Day put in a few weeks ago that is absolutely for tsun and the type of adjustment I think they've made to counter some of the Nebraska/PSU stuff.

That also could play into the hurry up concepts they might employ to great affect. Giving multiple looks with the same personnel while in hurry up could really fuck with Michigan’s desire to rotate their packages in—thinking specifically back to what MSU did and Michigan not even having the right players on the field, much less lined up properly, in goal line of all things.

They got better with it in subsequent games I think but then again, they haven't seen anything remotely close to this offense and Day the play caller.

I still contend their pass defense numbers are a function of the pressure they get. The OSU OL will do a better job than any they have faced and there isn't a secondary in America that can cover the WR's if Stroud has time.

Line at Bovada has moved in an odd direction.

Spread is back down to -8 and the price is -115 on tsun/-105 on OSU.
Money line has also moved in tsun favor.
All the money is on OSU.

Hmm.

Did the O/U drop as well? If so, that helps explain it. I saw an uptick in people speculating it would turn into a snow game that would slow down offense production, so if money moved to the under often that difference comes off the favorite.
