Anyone with the attitude that if MSU > tun, and tOSU much > than MSU, thereby tOSU >>> tun is mistaken. It'll be a dogfight, (and I'll take the >2 on scuffles), but believe that tOSU will win by double digits. Hopefully the OL keeps CJ's jersey clean, and he stays upright. Go Bucks!

Disagree. That's really only the Cooper years. Earl was +1 against them, and Woody had a solid winning record overall though he was -1 against Bo.

20's: 4-6
30's: 5-5
40's: 2-6-2 (last half of the decade was crap)
50's: 5-5
60's: 7-3
70's: 5-4-1
80's: 4-6
90's: 2-7-1

So take away Cooper, and the series was essentially equal after 1920.

I think some of that feeling is the sequencing of Earl's wins as well.

Woody lost his last 3. Earl then comes in and wins 3 of his first four but when you remember how it felt back then, tsun was a far superior team by the end of Earl's time even if he did pull that last one out.

So when Earl wins in '87, they had won 3 of the last 4 including a dong punch in '86. Then you get fucking Cooper. The next thing you know from 1985 until Jim Tressel showed up, OSU only wins 3 goddamn times. That's 16 years of finding ways to lose with the better team, getting ass hammered when tsun had better teams and everything in between.

16 years is a long fucking time and will leave an entire generation of us scarred and often unreasonably pessimistic before The Game no matter how much OSU wins.

EDIT

Hell, from 1977 to 2000 OSU went 7-16 in The Game. That's 24 years of hell with a brief 6 year window of Earl going 4-2 between '79-'84,

This current run OSU is on is just now approaching 20 years (but thank Woody, there has been no bad stretch at all).

Yep you were all over that one. Before I could get mine in the highest I could get on multiple sites was -11.5. I rolled as much as I could with that one plus the Nickel i bet right out of the gate at -8.5. Should be a good Christmas!

That’s a head scratcher. Those ichigan boys starting to drive haven’t seen a w yet. They may get into their 20s and beyond before seeing a w over the Ohio state.
I mean damn, they could be raising kids of their own telling them how they’ve never seen a win over the buckeyes.
