Damnit Silver Bullets, what ingredient were you missing to play up to this game? In 1946 Michigan beat up an OSU team that was overseas, recovering after they put a whipping on the Nazis. At least they had an excuse.

You cap that off with Bryant/Barnett/Howard who look a little lost in coverage and you just don't have the secondary we've had in the past. I just don't buy the excuse that had we been healthy on defense we would've been that much better from a wins loss standpoint. I guess it couldn't hurt but again every team just isn't that healthy right now. They did what they could but I for one won't throw out excuses for just not getting the job done.

Doubt it.

RB07OSU;2048990; said:Agreed to an extent. But I feel as if our secondary had an eye towards Robinson that may not have been there as often if we had N. Williams, Sweat, or Bell (had he not been in trouble). If you think of the steady attrition and injuries from spring on we had N. Williams, Sweat, Bell and McVey (could have provided depth at LB), and Bryant out today. Plus Shazier and O. Johnson for some of the game. Throw that on top of Moeller not playing the same after his injury and the fact that we lost 8 starters from last season, and I can't see how the defense stood a chance at that point.

Boom was a huge disappointment today. Completely outplayed by Touissant. Difference of the game, imo.
Oh well, worst tOSU in 20 years almost beat the best Meeeechigan team in 5 years. New streak will start next year.
bukIpower;2049017; said:In saying that though I'm not a huge fan our 3 of our 4 guys when it comes to their coverage skills in the secondary, as well as 2 of our LB's ability to do either coverage or run coverage. If we can find one more LB to step up and one more Secondary player to step up I think we can be a great defense next year,
