THE GAME, tOSU at tCun, Sat. 11/25, 12pm ET, FOX

Ok, after a week of reflection, I feel that the game turned on 2 plays: McCord's first INT and Day's refusal to go for it on 4th at the end of the 1st half.

Even with those plays it was 27-24 with 8 minutes left. OSU got the ball back down 30-24 with 1 minute and no time outs.

One second half defensive stop was needed, but it never came.

The one I was having when you quoted me. Hairball has three years of winning the game he can hang his hat on. Outside of stiff punishment from the cheating to serve as a deterrent, he has a recruiting advantage from winning 3 years in a row.
It’s developing an OL and DL. We have individuals with talent but they come up short as a unit. There’s always a free rusher or on the DL they lose contain.

Not really how recruiting works.
So you don't think we are going to lose out on recruits to scUM with them on a winning roll? I do hope you are right. My experience is that kids like to play for a winner - and also not a team where a 3000 yard QB with a 27 to 6 TD to interception ratio gets run out of town. But that's just, like, my opinion, man, and I'll see myself out of the convo now.

Right? This stat line is from a guy getting ready to face Alabama and who was in the Heisman conversation up until it was revealed his team had been cheating for a few years:

213 - 287 (74.2%) 2,630 yards 9.2 Y/A 9.9 AY/A with 19TD and 4 INTs

We're running this guy out of town:
229-348 (65.8%) 3,170 yards 9.1 Y/A 9.7 AY/A with 24TD and 6 INTs

We lost a 5* DT to Miami. Recruiting is very rarely about winning games.
