THE GAME, tOSU at tCun, Sat. 11/25, 12pm ET, FOX

I also find it interesting, given everything, how we, as a fanbase, used to make fun of the "Michigan Man" mantra around the time of Brady Fat Boy Hoke, that here we are talking about "Ohio men" as the only ones that "fit the mold"....

Do carry on.....it's, interesting....

nearly as interesting is to compare the DFBIA defending their optimism in Rich Rod to current defense of Day.

Seems remarkably similar to my untrained eye.

Next year doesn't matter, at least not for The Game. Even if the NCAA does nothing, they're pretty much losing their whole damn team. They'll come in to The Game with 3-5 losses. Day could hang 50 on them and it won't mean anything. This was his shot. Be blew it. Football is a hard sport.
Wait a minute Day beats TCUN and it won’t mean anything? If that’s the case then why the F are people wanting him gone if it won’t mean anything

Because the coaching records are totally comparable....not to mention the culture shifts...right.

I realize you're a Day hater so to forestall saying anything I'll regret, we aren't going to agree.

Before the new format
You're right. We aren't there yet.

But just one more loss and he ties Coopers consecutive losses against Michigan!

So we are way fucking closer than we should be.
If he loses next year, I’m right here with everyone with pitchforks calling for Days job. But, that’s more based off of sentiment/emotion than reality. Honestly with the new format, I just want deep runs into the playoffs/NCs. I would love to beat Michigan every year and it doesn’t feel right winning it all unless we do. But this is the last edition of “the game” in the sense that’s its the end all. Yall do realize we could literally play them three times next year (and the foreseeable future) regardless of we win this weekend lol? We just need to win when it matters. Hell, we might still get in this year…

My grandmother.

Go ahead and tell me how unqualified she is like you would with any other name I put in here like it would matter to the task at hand.

Day isn't good enough folks. Time to man up and deal with it.
Yeah I just don’t know what to make of Day…

He’s winning 11 games a year but is losing the last 2 game’s basically every year which happen to be our most important 2.

It’s a mental block at this point. Luckily Michigan loses half their roster (literally) and they’re going to more than likely get drilled with sanctions this off season too.

It’ll be those things that eventually give us the edge next year. We all knew this year was a long shot but the fact we came so close doesn’t make it feel any better.

Lanning, DeBoer, Elko, Klieman, Leipold, Fickell, Whittingham.

None of those are more insane than doing the same shit all over again and expecting an entirely different result.

I know some people are in a different head space, but if you think any of those outside of Lanning, and maybe, maaaaaybe Whittingham, are better than Day you need to take a deep breath and re-evaluate. I see a lot of flavors of the month in there, some real solid coaches, but lowered expectations have a way changing perspectives.
