THE GAME, tOSU at tCun, Sat. 11/25, 12pm ET, FOX

Totally agreed.

I hate to say it. And I hate to point fingers but the major blemish?

Not going after Caleb Williams or Drake May.

Kyle never progressed all year. He was always the worry and always the fear and my emotional response? Won’t be the answer next year either.

No idea who’s out there right now but we need something better at quarterback

Williams wasn't leaving Riley and Drake is a Carolina boy living his dream. Neither were coming to Columbus.

:slappy:

hold on, did you just compare Day to Urban Meyer and Jim Tressel?

I think you might want to go check the trophy case my man

Well is my point right or not? I don't remember Tressel having a great record against comparable talent. That was the entire argument while he was coach. Meyer choked every year after 14.

Both can be true

I think the term I would use to critically describe most of Days teams since 2020...non chalant. They also don't seem to improve much as the season progresses.

Something about your best player giving up on plays that doesn't sit right with me. In this game?? In THIS fucking game??? It's baffling. There really seems to be a viral sense of "this is just another game" amongst the team. Not good.

They played physical today...not part of my criticism at all. Just a lack of an overarching killer instinct. And frankly (as Jax pointed out) this type of shit will not allow you to punch up or even at your level effectively.
Post of the year imo.

The Cooper comparison. I don't think it is that simple. I disagree with Day's belief that you must totally keep emotion out of the game. I think it must be brought into the game in moderation. Getting a bit pissed off can help you in a football game.

If he loses next year, then I think the Bucks need to revisit the caseof John Cooper.

McCord looks very tightly wound back there. Too rushed. Too immobile. Too frightened. I would let the room know that the job will be open to other competitors.

Could have had Belichick as Cooper's replacement, and maybe Sabin ends up in New England. We can't let him slip away again.
Um Wut? Even if that could have ever possibly been a thing, this fan base would have melted like butter in a kiln at bringing in a coach whose only HC experience at the time was underachieving in Cleveland.

The Cooper comparisons are absolutely on point. The fucking QB even gave the ‘it’s just another game’ answer this week. That comes from the top down. That’s Cooper all day.
