Game Thread THE GAME: Ohio State 42, Michigan 7 (Nov. 22)

I didn't see this before The Game...apparently, it is Vlloyd's fault...:slappy:

Rich Rodriguez just threw Lloyd Carr under the bus. In a television interview he broached the subject that no one wants to up in the Detroit-Ann Arbor area: Lloyd Carr didn't exactly leave the cupboard full. Rodriguez ticked off all the roster holes then said, "I should have known better." Rodriguez basically admitted he took the Michigan job because it was Michigan, not knowing there were huge holes on offense.

Gosh, this guy is a laugh a minute. :slappy:

Yeah, kind of annoyed me... Boeckmen was beaten out for the starting job... Plain and simple and he has to go ranting on about this for 5 minutes... He's just obnoxious.

Those comments and then the "interception" in the endzone for Michigan that all the announcers SWORE was Michigan ball... Had they looked at the ENTIRE replay (the last one), they would have seen him drop the ball and it roll on the turf...

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

NEAL C. LAURON | DISPATCH
Chris "Beanie" Wells takes Michigan's Stevie Brown for a ride to the end zone to cap a 59-yard run.

Ohio State relied on big plays to break open an early stalemate and rolled to a school-record fifth straight victory over Michigan, 42-7, today in Ohio Stadium, clinching a share of a fourth straight Big Ten title.
With Chris "Beanie" Wells setting the tone with a 59-yard burst to the first touchdown, the Buckeyes turned a 14-7 lead at the half into the runaway, the Buckeyes' most lopsided win in the series since a 50-14 victory over Michigan in 1968.
The Buckeyes must await the outcome of the Michigan State-Penn State game -- a meeting of conference co-leaders later this afternoon -- to find out whether they are Rose Bowl bound. An MSU win would put OSU in the Rose Bowl, because the Buckeyes beat the Spartans this year. A PSU win would put PSU in the Rose, by virtue of its win over Ohio State, and send the Buckeyes into the at-large pool for a possible invitation to one of the other three BCS bowls (Fiesta, Sugar, Orange).

Doesn't look like we're gonna get a lot of help from Mich. St. today, but man that beating we gave TSUN was BEAUTIFUL.

I love me some Buckeyes!

Thanks seniors for a wonderful year!
