Game Thread THE GAME: Ohio State 14, TSUN 3 (final)

Pioneer High School directly across from the Big House has a huge parking lot but expect to pay $25-$30 or more for a space (I see that the golf course nearby is now charging $40). You can always see OSU flags flying there when the Buckeyes come to town but you will be surrounded by Wolverines. Your car will be safe there at least. Make sure to get there early to avoid the usual massive traffic backups in that area. In fact, get to A2 early because the city experiences horrible traffic gridlock on every football Saturday.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I was really surprised at the price of parking when I went to their athletic website. I park for free here as a student but even if I didn't its only $10 in the lots (U of M lots charge more than most NFL cities). The shuttles here are free, and they charge $4.00 round trip. My question is, should I bring an oxygen tank, or is air free there?
Thanks

Hell, I live in Ann Arbor and it's virtually impossible to get tickets for THE GAME unless you want to spend big bucks on ebay. I'm not a UM alum so I can't get season tickets and even the minor games are usually sold out. And the police have been really cracking down on ticket scalping outside of the stadium for a couple years now.

Why would you be a UM alum if you're an Ohio State fan?

More's the pity. Used to be a fun tradition. Went the way of the dodo after Eagles fans decided to hide 9-volts inside snowballs. You stay classy, Philadelphia.

Daughter and her boyfriend both got kicked out one year for marshmallow offenses. He was caught in the act of tossing a marshmallow and she was left holding the bag (literally). She was ejected for possession of marshmallows. Good memories!

:lol: Yes, the air is still free, though you might be accosted and lectured by a local greenie activist about how your decision to drive to Michigan is contributing to global warming! Just tell them that the hot air they are expelling is contributing just as much. That's my strategy.

Of all the good memories I have, some of the best are of being a young college student at THE Ohio State University. I hope you are enjoying your tenure there as much as I did!

Exactly! I'm an Ohio State alum so I am ineligible for Michigan season tickets. So I only get to see one or two games a year at the Big House and I never get to see the really important games. It's still a lot of fun though because Michigan does the college football party thing almost as well as Ohio State. But I still always wish I could be at the Shoe!

Go Bucks!

I could've sworn I was defending grad...
You think you're confused....in between me posting originally and when I came back, there's like two different new versions of my post out there, plus a quote of a post that's no longer there and a link that I can't see that goes into Moderator Land where I can't see it, and some indirect implications that other posts previously existed but no longer do. And all I can tell for sure is that grad would rather I just STFU. If I'm trolling, I'm not doing a very good job, you'd think I'd want to see the drama before it gets swept off.

Anyway, if anyone is just looking for a place to park (for free) and just walk to the stadium (rather than tailgating) then I can give you some hints. Just don't disturb the neighborhood and all will be well. Just let me know.

I hope that when THE GAME is shown on TV that there will be a sizeable 'red' section that is visible to the cameras. Wolverines (student section aside) are notoriously incapable of being able to show a unified color. Scarlet shows up really well on TV!

Go Bucks!

Wow, drama! How exciting. I guess I hit close to home. I thought I'd pretty well established after a year or so that I'm not here to go "BUKEYZ R LOSRZ!!!!11!" all over the place, but I see there isn't much room for intelligent comments out of this corner either. So I guess I'll try to be nice and noncontroversial from here on out. So.....how bout that weather? Rainbows sure are pretty.

This is not a difficult concept...

You cracked on the program...during Michigan week...on a homer board...during Michigan week...you thought you were being funny...during Michigan week...now you are whining....and its Michigan week. What you call "intelligent comment" I call pointless trolling...there was zero point to your post besides to incite the reaction you received. Winner winner chicken dinner!

If you have anything further, use PMs...otherwise, you know the expectation of this board.

It's still 'Michigan week'

OSU, Wolverines both lose the week before The Game for first time since 1959.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. ? Someone leaving Ohio State's loss against Illinois on Saturday could have found a stamped and disregarded flier in the Ohio Stadium parking lot.
The 3-inch-by-4-inch announcement told fans about the "Beat Michigan Week" events, including a Michigan Sucks Keg party on Sunday and a Dunk a Wolverine game on Friday sponsored by a local bar. The back included an often-e-mailed photo of a young child with an Ohio State temporary tattoo on his face flipping his middle finger.
