Game Thread THE GAME, Nov 29th, High Noon, ABC (It was a nice Time For War while it lasted)

Sine Jim Tressel took over as head coach in 2001, Ohio State is 12-1 against Michigan in games where Ohio State was not coached by an interim coach (i.e., throwing out the 2011 loss because Fickell was interim).

Yeah! And since 1990, Ohio State is 14-0 against Michigan in games not coached by an interim coach, or John Cooper coached a loss, or Chirs Perry didn't run wild. UNDEFEATED!!!

2011 was a loss, fair and square. All this other "modified stats" crap is the type of stuff that Michigan fans fling around. We don't need them because real results get our point across for us. 12-2 in the last 14 games. Period.

Agreed, it's not like being 12-2 is something to be upset about.

So if you were a high school player in Ohio and you didn't get an offer from the Buckeyes you wouldn't accept an offer from Michigan or another Big Ten school? Right.

If I'm reading most of your posts correctly, Michigan hasn't been signing anyone Ohio State really wants - so how does that make a kid a traitor?

Yeah, there's the occasional asshole like Dennis Franklin, who not only signs with Michigan, but then uses the fact to taunt the Buckeyes. But most of the kids I've heard talk about the decision claim they wanted to play for Ohio State, but never got the chance.

Kyle Kalis decommited from Ohio State to go to Michigan. I'm not going to go through every single one listed in there, but not all of them were unwanted.

And the Boren kids dad was a linebacker for Bo and his oldest played for VIILLoyd and yet all three ended their playing days at Ohio State.

Kids are going to pick where they feel they're most wanted, where they think they have the best chance to start and hopefully it matches up with a program they loved when they were younger. That makes many kids opportunists, but it doesn't make them traitors.

Apparently you fail to grasp the essence of the post. The only time Michigan has beat us since 2003 is when we didn't have an established head coach at the helm...
