How gritty was the violence? From the trailer I expected something similar to reservoir dogs.

And catch me if you can, and 'what's eating gilbert grape', and 'basketball diaries'. Honestly I don't think he was that bad in titanic, it was just a crappy movie, tho he can't shake that role with some.

Very good flick. You had to love Jack Nickolson's "rat face" expression when he and Leonardo were discussing who the "rat" was.

Aesome movie. It's not as good as Goodfellas or Raging Bull, but I can only think of a couple movies that are. Alec Baldwin and Mark Wahlberg absolutely steal the movie, and Matt Damon does a great job creating a character that is complete scum. Martin Sheen (his role was originally going to be played by DeNiro, but he was working on something else) is really the only weak link, and he's still pretty damned good.
