The 74 MSU game. I still get very angry and upset when I reflect on that day. I was young enough at the time that the game left a huge impression on me. At that time everything was black & white, right and wrong. I didn't understand the judgement calls and shades of gray. I didn't understand how the "correct" call wasn't made, even 30 minutes after the game. I REALLY didn't understand why there was no outcome to the game even after the teams left the field. It was one of the oddest football moments I can ever recall.

I'm the dude who voted for '93 Michigan... It was my first year at tOSU... and I really wanted to beat those jerk-offs.... REALLY... anyway... its not as "historic" as the others... just a personal thing.. and the way we lost made it all the worse.

I voted for the 98 Michigan State game because every time I look back at it I get a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. The one year Cooper does beat Michigan we lose to a team that we were favored by 4 touchdowns to beat at home. Then in the Big Ten basketball season later that same year having to hear those Michigan State fans chanting "Just like Football!" over and over again on ESPN is enough to make a sane man lose it. God Damn I hate the state of Michigan!

I went with the '96 loss to scUM because I was there, and had to deal with the scUM fans talking about what a great game it was, and how without them beating us their team wouldn't have gotten the "respect" it deserved :smash: :bonk:

It was a toss up between the 1971 Rose Bowl loss to Stanford and the 1976 Rose Bowl loss to UCLA. I went with the 1971 loss to Stanford, because I remember watching the game as a young teen and the loss just tore me up. What was the kicker in that game was the int TD we had that was called back late in the game...that would've put us within 3 points at 27-24 and would've given us a change, but it the int was negated by a penalty. The reason why I almost went with the 1976 loss to UCLA was because we had just won a close game up in Ann Arbor and had destroyed UCLA at their place 41-20 (up 38-3 or something like that at halftime) earlier in the season. There was no way we should've lost that game.

i guess im the only one who still feels the sting of the 80 rose bowl loss to the University of Spoiled Children.....

White running at will on tOSU in the last five minutes to turn a 16-10 OSU lead into a 17-16 OSU loss....Earles first year....

That would have been bittersweet for Woody....

then our whole world came tumbling down... uggh! i've been to 2 scUMlite games, and we lost 'em both, so i will never go see a scUMlite game again...

Bruce's Rose Bowl losses or loss to Indiana and Anthony Davis

EB was great in bowl games if a service academy or a team from Salt Lake City was on the opposite sideline. But having a .000 winning percentage in the most important bowl for a Big 10 coach, at least in his era, just doesn't cut it.

Does anyone else remember that loss to Bill Mallory and the Hoosiers ? Anthony Davis ran all over us. I just couldn't belive INDIANA beat us. They did wrong by canning BM later imo. He was the last of the conference's respectable dinosaurs (Paterno doesn't count).

'98 scUM lite... i mean WE WERE FOUR TD FAVORITES!!!! WE WERE UP 24-9 IN THE THIRD QUARTER...

... and MSU was punting ...

... from deep in their own territory ...

... and the punter shanked the punt ...

... and OSU should have gotten the ball back at MSU's 30 yard line ...

... but .... I can't go on, it hurts too much ... :bonk:
