The 2020 College Football Season

That's my concern, right there. Thanks to the B1G wringing their hands for five weeks we have no room for postponements. ACC teams have time to make them up.

Technically, yes. But do they really? Realistically, even if a kid tests clean next week, when would they really be ready to be on the field. Ultimately, the longer the season (time wise) the greater the chance they have even higher numbers out.

We’ll see soon enough how quickly those kids are able to return to game shape. For their (kids not school) sake, I hope it’s soon. As much disdain as I have for the school, I hope the individual kids come through this ok.

That is my concern as well. If the 8 game season goes to 3 or 4 games, might as well not bother. If this keeps happening, I am very concerned the season gets cancelled again or gets cancelled early on. I am very curious to see how the players who get it react to it as well though. If there are mild or no symptoms and an easy recovery for them all, you really start to question cancelling games over this unless its actually shown to cause heart damage or some other long-term consequence. Probably a topic for another thread but I worry seeing other teams cancelling games already...

I feel like there's also some hope that initial waves will work their way through the schools and students over the first month back, especially for the B1G, and that teams will understand and be more cautious and follow rules better. Get over this initial wave, reschedule what you can/need to, and get through the back half of this weird season with minimal disruption.
