Just saw Dwayne's tribute to Troy the bull. That's exactly what it was. Great to see young players respect the great players of the past. That's key to a winning culture. It's bigger than the coaches. It's passed down from player to player. Year after year, decade after decade.
That's part of Harbaugh's challenge. That's been lost up there and he has to rebuild it. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Today was a big setback.

They came into Ohio Stadium with arrogance. Harbaugh returned Urban Meyer's smiling pre-game welcome handshake with a touch and a grunt. Winabitch stood on the field taunting Ohio State to come try their best.
They were humiliated. Not beaten, humiliated. There remains a tough road ahead. Northwestern is no pushover. There are key injuries.
But this team will always have this victory. It will be the one that they remember most. For the seniors, there is the honor of saying that they never lost to TSUN, the fourth recent class to say that.
There is much wrong with the world--and I admit that I had tears in my eyes at the end of The Game--but this is the way the world is supposed to be. The world stood against this coach and his team.
God bless The Ohio State University.

Reading thru comments in the xeltdown blog, someone pointed out--they were in normal uniforms for a change, instead of some screwball throwback fantasy. Didn't even notice before. Maybe someone with the team should make a note of that for next year.
