I have been raising my son to feel this very way. He now has two cousins (brothers) that one roots for Bama (and Duke) and the other is now rooting for TTUN. They are born and raised in Cincinnati. My son talks massive shit to him all day and he has never lived in Ohio due to being a military kid. You ask my kids where they are from and they will tell you Cincinnati, O-H-I-O!

Fuck the team up north.

They don't even root for their home pro teams either. They are Patriots fans.

The kid that roots for Bama football started as an Auburn fan (has an uncle and aunt that graduated from there) then switched to Florida because Tebow. Now is a Bama fan with no idea where the fuck Tuscaloosa is.

to be fair, I live here and I can't bring myself to root for the shit show that is the Reds and Bengals.

Ok so Thanksgiving dinner #2 in the books and another brother in law apparently thinks hes a ttun fan. Getting real sick and tired of this BS. Hes has moved all over the US but he has lived in Ohio longer than any other state. Does he root for the Bucks? Nope... Kansas Georgia and ttun....you cant make this shit up. Has a peppers ttun Jersey hanging in his room too (him and my step sister have 3 kids and they mooch off/live with my dad....long story)..he and my step sister left for black Friday shopping 15 minutes ago. Soon as he left my wife went upstairs and when she came down she whispered in my ear that she had thrown the Jersey under the baby crib. He doesnt have the balls to blame my dad so this is gonna be funny when he gets home
