Game Thread That Team Up North @ Ohio State - 11/24/18, The '62' Game, Revenge Revoked

They are already giving away tickets to the B1G Championship game.

An Ann Arbor sports radio show is giving away two free tickets to the Big Ten championship with the blatant hopes that The State Up North will be there.

The State Up North fans aren't the only ones cocky.

Guess they didn't ask Brett Romberg for any insights about premature plans.

and while I am at it....let's talk about this "Revenge Tour" bullshit.

First of all, Revenge Tour vs Tournover Chain......which is cheesier?

Second, this is their 2018 September Heisman and of course the fuckhead media is buying in.

tsun's last game against Notre Dame was in 2014 and they were pole axed 31-0. 2018 Revenge Tour goes into South Bend and.....loses. Winnobitch wasn't running his cockholster about revenge tour for some reason. Isn't the point of revenge to right the last wrong? They failed from jump street.

Then, when they get 6-5 Sparty, it's a Revenge Tour. When they get 7-4 Wisconsin and 8-3 Penn State at home with injured QB's...it's revenge.

True to their fuck head nature they are guaranteeing wins, giving away B1G CCG tickets and making up Revenge Tour bullshit before they have earned a god damned thing on the field.

I cannot wait for Saturday. These arrogant bitches are going to get their comeuppance and it is going to be glorious.

Yeah, a bunch of fuckwits who think they've already won being coached by a dipstick who will play this tighter than a witches cunt. What could go wrong?

We have one loss and fans players coaches seem joyless.,that all changes Saturday.. nothing cleanses the soul like kicking suU-‘s ASS.

Please God I hope so. I'm starting to believe Millennials don't have as much fire as Gen X, Y, Flower Children, Baby Boomers, WWII Vets and Oregon Trail-ers (?)

Uh... obviously made some of those up but regardless they all should bleed scarlet and gray.

I've been thinking about the "joyless" part of this season for a while and I wonder if some of that isn't because of the schedule and just how high the stakes have become over the past 6 years?

What I mean is, aside from week 3 vs TCU and week 5 at Penn State, what other "big" games have they had to get up for?

Much like our fanbase, I think the players in the program may have become somewhat addicted to the big game/bright lights thing. I know Purdue was technically in primetime and all but it's freaking Purdue. It's hard to get jacked up for fucking Purdue.

Not making excuses for them losing but trying to understand part of the reason for the apparent joylessness and lethargy we have clearly seen throughout large chunks of 2018.

I think it mostly has to do with looking at what Alabama is doing and wondering why the Buckeyes aren’t there. On paper the talent gap between Ohio State and the rest of the B1G is just as big, if not arguably bigger than the gap between Bama and the rest of the SEC yet it feels like OSU hasn’t dominated the B1G the way that Alabama has dominated the SEC. This is despite Urban having a 90 fucking winning percentage in the B1G.

I really feel that after the Purdue game, this team has had to face a lot of Adversity. The talking heads started saying how great this Purdue team was becoming and how they outcoached and outplayed Ohio State. All of that was BS to me.
We just started losing confidence and that was a big factor in the rest of the season. But this week maybe things will be different. This is what we play for at the end of the season. The adversity part is over. Lets win this game and shut everyone up.

Throwback Asshat of the Day: Mike Shaw, RB

Years: 2008-2011

Record against OSU: 0-3

Lowlights: someone mentioned him before, how could this guy NOT be on the list? And for that matter, has anyone with his hype as a RB done less at a major school in a 4 year career? In 4 years, he had exactly ONE 100 yard rushing game. One goddamned game, for 126 against mighty UMass in 2010. His performance in the 2009 game will forever go down as one of the greatest in the history of the rivalry: 8 plays from scrimmage, 1 yard. Hell even fucking Tate Forcier had 10 yards on 6 carries. He bookended that with 12 carries for 41 big yards in 2008, and a giant breakout performance in 2010 when he had 8 carries for 52 yards and the only TD in the 37-7 curbstomping. And of course, in the 2011 game that they actually managed to win, he got...a DNP. So Mike “Shart” Shaw, you are a magnificent bastard.

Woody use to say that a team could get up emotionally for a game 2, maybe 3 times a year. The other games they needed to out talent or out scheme their opponent.

I suspect the this Saturday will be one of those 2 or 3.

Great post. Only one question: wasn't Mike "0-4" Hart 0-4 against OSU? He earned that middle name fair and square, I thought.
