THANK YOU FOR 10 GREAT YEARS, COACH TRESSEL

Well, I think this decade brought out the good, bad, and ugly of college athletics, and I think he would be the first to admit that now. So thank you for being so successful, for taking our traditions as seriously as many of the fans do, for starting new ones, for owning Michigan, and for your dedication to the school and to charities.

Thank you so much for everything Coach Tressel, thank you for allowing me to shadow you in 2001 when I was just in 8th grade, that was truly an amazing experience! My view of and respect for you has not changed a bit as a result of all of this. You are still the epitome of a true Buckeye, you honored the traditions of the past, cared for your players as much as Woody did, and you beat the absolute hell out of Michigan!

Time will heal all wounds, and I agree with Chris Spielman we have 2 options as a result of all of this:

A) Stand and fight
B) Cower and cry in the corner

I'll go with option A thank you very much, and I stand with Tressel.

The best ten years of Buckeye football ever in my (55 year) life.

After the dust settles, people are going to feel pretty foolish about toppling his statue. Go ahead, folks, throw shoes at him. It's like parenting, you do your best and hope your kids make you proud. Sometimes it doesn't work out that way.

But he sure knew how to coach a football team.

We'll never forget

The national championship.
Humiliating Charlie Weis.
Beating "unbeatable" Oregon and Arkansas.
9 and 1.

I hope to hell his players have his back, and not just the current players. All of them.

Nuff said for now. Looking forward to Fickell's first season.

All I heard today from all the SEC and Big 12 fans at work that they were felt genuinely sorry for the loss of a college football legend (their words not mine). Its heartening to see that everyone recognizes the magnificent job you did despite the way it ended.

Godspeed. Enjoy the time with your family as much as my family has enjoyed the last ten years.
